Giant Store Halifax is an independent bike shop offering Yorkshire cyclists the full range of bicycles from Giant and Liv, along with cycling gear from the world’s leading brands.

On one of the oldest bike shop sites in the UK, there is a whole History of bikes from this site. In 1904, Scott Savile opened a bike shop as part of his car repair garage. Edgar Shaw then took over in the 1950s, and this is the name most of the old guard locally still refer to us as. Upon his retirement, Keith took ownership and eventually renamed it King Cross Cycles.

Mark, the current owner, opened PedalSport in 2003 before transforming into Giant Store Halifax in 2017. We’re run by an enthusiastic and knowledgeable team of cycling experts dedicated to improving your cycling experience through exceptional service, advice, products and support.

Our team of Cytech-trained mechanics service all makes and models of bicycles (not just Giant and Liv bikes) in our state-of-the-art workshop. From kids’ bikes through to pro-level carbon race bikes and e-bikes – we’ll keep your bike running perfectly.

Online ordering is available with free Click & Collect on orders over £50. Retail finance is available, and we accept cash and all major credit cards, as well as participating in government Cycle To Work schemes – ask us in store for more details.
